Wood + Honey Candles and Melts

 ABOUT OUR CANDLES AND
WAX MELTS

  • Each candle is hand poured and handcrafted from start to finish.  I don't stock much, just not enough time for that, so each candle is pretty much made to order.  They aren't perfect like a factory pour would be but that's what makes them special.

  • Made from 100% pure beeswax that has been filtered without harsh chemicals or bleaches.

  • Beeswax is blended with just a bit of 100% unrefined, pure virgin organic coconut oil to allow the beeswax to burn more evenly as it is naturally a very hard wax.

  • Wood wicks come from untreated natural wood with lead free bases.  Hemp wicks are 100% organic and of course lead free bases as well.

  • Candles are hand poured into a variety of different vessels - check out all the options below.

  • WOOD + HONEY candles are non-toxic and free from lead, zinc, phthalate, paraffin, and all the other nasty stuff you don't want in your home.

Recommended Burning Instructions

  • Beeswax is a very hard wax and burns very hot and slow. These candles should last you for a while.
  • Wick is cut to appropriate height when new.
  • If wood wick starts burning low, try knocking some of the burnt edges off.  It is not uncommon to hear a soft crackling sound while burning, which is why wood wicks are so cool.
  • Recommended burn time of at least 2 to 3 hours to avoid tunneling.   Tunneling may occur initially until a big enough wax pool is made and the glass begins to warm.
  • Cracking in the wax near the wick is common due to the fast cooling time after its extinguished.
  • DO NOT extinguish with water.  DO NOT replace lid until candle has cooled completely.
  • Discontinue use if glass is broken or cracked.

Burn Time

The beautiful thing about beeswax candles is that they last FOREVER!

Unlike your average store bought candle of soy or paraffin that can burn down very quickly, beeswax candles keep going and going and going...

Wood + Honey candles burn for a long damn time.

  • 10oz candles burn for 65-75+ hrs

Now that is getting your money's worth!

Lets talk some Scents for a second....

The offered scents reflect me a bit in that they are named and described after things I like to do, things I say to my yoga classes, inappropriate phrases I use (slightly edited though for these purposes), favorite songs, things that make me giggle and there's one that even reminds me of my mama. Life is too short for boring candle names, right?

Each scent combo is delicious, light and not too overwhelming in my opinion.  You can rest easy knowing that ALL are made with Phthalate Free fragrance oils.

See the link above for a complete list of the scent descriptions Wood + Honey offers.

I hope you enjoy.

Fragrance sensitivity or allergy?

Try one of our "unscented" candles or melts.  It has a light honey scent just as the bees and mother nature intended with no fragrance oils added.
